Subscriptions, billing and cancellation
The coordination app is free forever. CareSemble Copilot is an optional auto-renewing subscription that adds Copilot's document scanning and drafted family updates for everyone in your circle at once.
CareSemble Copilot — Monthly$12.00 USDLength: 1 month · $12.00 per month
CareSemble Copilot — Annual$99.00 USDLength: 1 year · $8.25 per month, billed once a year
Prices are shown in US dollars. In the app, and in the App Store's confirmation sheet, you see the price in your own currency before you are charged anything.
Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase. The subscription renews automatically at the same price unless you turn off auto-renew at least 24 hours before the period ends. Your Apple Account is charged for the renewal within 24 hours of the period ending. You can manage the subscription, or turn off auto-renew, in your Apple Account settings after purchase.
How to cancel. Open the Settings app on your iPhone or iPad, tap your name, then Subscriptions, then CareSemble, then Cancel Subscription. You can also reach the same place from Account → Manage subscription in the CareSemble app. Cancelling stops the next renewal; the subscription keeps working until the end of the period you have already paid for, and deleting the app does not cancel it.
Refunds. Purchases made through the App Store are handled by Apple, and refund requests go to Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com. Subscriptions bought on our website are billed by Stripe; write to help@caresemble.com and we will sort it out.
Unused time. Any unused portion of a free trial period, if one is offered, is forfeited when you buy a subscription.
1. Who these terms are between
These Terms of Use ("Terms") are an agreement between you and CareSemble ("we", "us"), covering the CareSemble mobile app, the CareSemble website, and the CareSemble Copilot subscription (together, "the Service").
By creating an account, using the app, or subscribing, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. The Service is intended for adults coordinating care for themselves or for someone they help.
2. The licence we give you
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the Service on devices you own or control, for your own care coordination and that of the family circle you belong to.
For the iOS app, that licence is limited to use on Apple-branded products you own or control, as permitted by the Usage Rules in the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions, except that the app may be accessed by other accounts you share it with through Family Sharing or volume purchasing.
You may not resell the Service, rent access to it, reverse-engineer it, or use it to build a competing product.
3. What CareSemble is not
CareSemble organizes and explains paperwork. It does not diagnose, does not treat, and does not decide anything clinical. It is not a medical device, and it is not a substitute for a doctor, nurse, or pharmacist.
Everything Copilot reads is presented to you for confirmation before it is saved, and medication information should always be confirmed with the pharmacist or the discharging clinician. If someone is in danger, call your local emergency number, not this app.
We are not a covered entity under HIPAA and we do not act as one. What we hold, and on what terms, is described in the Privacy Policy.
4. Your account and your circle
You are responsible for what happens under your account, including anything done by people you invite into your circle. Invite carefully: a circle member can see the plan, the schedule, the appointments, and the updates you post.
Family links you create show a limited view (the summary, the schedule, and upcoming appointments), never the original documents. You can revoke a link at any time.
Tell us promptly at help@caresemble.com if you believe someone has gained access to your account.
5. Your content stays yours
The documents you scan, the notes you write, and the plan you build remain yours. You grant us only the licence we need to run the Service for you: to process, store, display and transmit that content to you and to the people you have given access.
We do not sell your family's health data, we do not use it for advertising, and the providers behind Copilot are contractually barred from training on it.
You can export everything and delete everything yourself, from inside the app. Deletion ends access immediately and purges the data within 30 days.
6. Acceptable use
Do not upload documents about a person whose care you are not involved in, or whose permission you do not have. Do not use the Service to harass anyone, to break the law, to infringe someone else's rights, or to attempt to breach its security.
We may suspend or end access that breaks these rules, and we will tell you why when we do.
7. Privacy
Our handling of your information is governed by the Privacy Policy at https://caresemble.com/privacy, which forms part of these Terms.
8. Ending it
You can stop using the Service at any time, and delete your account from inside the app. Deleting your account does not by itself cancel an App Store subscription. Cancel that with Apple, as described above.
We may end or suspend access if you break these Terms, if we are required to by law, or if we discontinue the Service. If we discontinue it, we will give you reasonable notice and a way to export what you have.
9. No warranty
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
Copilot's reading is imperfect by nature. That is why every result is presented for your confirmation, and why nothing is saved until you confirm it. Do not rely on an unconfirmed result.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
10. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost data or lost profits, arising out of your use of the Service.
Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or twenty-five US dollars.
Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
11. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. When a change is material, we will tell you in the app or by email before it takes effect, and the date at the top of this page will change. Continuing to use the Service after that means you accept the new Terms.
A price change to an existing subscription never takes effect without your consent, through the App Store's own confirmation flow.
12. Terms that apply because you got the app from the App Store
Apple is not a party to this agreement. These Terms are between you and CareSemble only, not with Apple. We, not Apple, are solely responsible for the CareSemble app and its content.
Maintenance and support. We are solely responsible for any maintenance and support for the app. Apple has no obligation whatsoever to furnish any maintenance or support services for it.
Warranty. We are solely responsible for any product warranties, whether express or implied by law, to the extent not effectively disclaimed. If the app fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price of the app to you; to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Apple has no other warranty obligation whatsoever with respect to the app.
Product claims. We, not Apple, are responsible for addressing any claims from you or a third party relating to the app or your possession and use of it, including product liability claims, any claim that the app fails to conform to a legal or regulatory requirement, and claims arising under consumer protection, privacy, or similar legislation.
Intellectual property. If a third party claims the app or your possession and use of it infringes their intellectual property rights, we, not Apple, are solely responsible for the investigation, defence, settlement and discharge of that claim.
Legal compliance. You represent that you are not located in a country subject to a US Government embargo or designated as a "terrorist supporting" country, and that you are not listed on any US Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
Third-party terms. You must comply with any applicable third-party terms of agreement when using the app, for example your wireless data service agreement.
Third-party beneficiary. Apple and Apple's subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms, and upon your acceptance of them Apple will have the right (and is deemed to have accepted the right) to enforce these Terms against you as a third-party beneficiary of them.
